What You’ll Do
You’ll develop, test, and maintain backend applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2, writing efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Working alongside senior developers, you’ll help build and maintain mainframe applications, participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization, and manage data across enterprise databases. Beyond core mainframe work, you’ll also get exposure to AI-driven applications as part of CGI’s broader technology initiatives, plus opportunities to create and maintain technical documentation and continuously adopt new technologies.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of COBOL programming fundamentals
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL or SQL Server)
- Knowledge of Git version control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
