What You’ll Do
You’ll set up, configure, and maintain telecom lab environments used for 4G/5G testing, including installing and managing Linux-based systems and network components. Day-to-day work involves preparing and validating testbed infrastructure, monitoring lab systems for availability and stability, and supporting basic functional and integration testing. You’ll also assist in capturing and analyzing network traffic using tools like Wireshark, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues within the lab, and help automate repetitive lab tasks using Shell or Python scripting where needed — plus maintain lab inventory, documentation, and configuration records while coordinating with testing, development, and operations teams.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering — Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals with hands-on system commands
- Basic understanding of 4G/5G technologies and telecom architecture
- Understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models
- Knowledge of IP networking concepts — IP addressing, subnetting, routing
- Familiarity with protocols such as TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS
- Experience with networking tools like ping, traceroute, and netstat
- Basic understanding of packet flow and troubleshooting techniques
Good to have: exposure to packet capture tools like Wireshark; basic scripting knowledge in Shell or Python.
