What You’ll Do

This is a full-time, in-person program where you’ll spend 20% of your time in a tailored training program and the rest working directly with an assigned Google team to gain hands-on experience. You’ll assess data accurately, identify anomalies, and conduct custom analysis to uncover insights for Google’s customers — using data to quantify the real business impact of Google’s media recommendations. Along the way, you’ll gain a genuine understanding of the data lifecycle across different business units, work with a range of tools and techniques, and develop core data analysis skills using spreadsheets and programming languages.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in any field — this is not restricted to Computer Science or technical degrees
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience in Data Analytics post-graduation
• Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Chrome, Docs, Sheets) or similar applications
• Fluent English communication, with the ability to learn via training documentation and presentations

Preferred: knowledge of or interest in data analysis and working with numbers and patterns; ability to work both independently and within a team; comfort navigating ambiguous tasks; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; understanding of SQL programming.

Important Things to Know Before Applying

• This is a 24-month apprenticeship, not a permanent full-time role from day one — though apprentices become eligible to apply for full-time Google roles during the final three months of the program
• Once onboarded, transfer of location is not permitted
• This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship or compensation negotiation
• The full process spans 18 to 24 weeks — patience is genuinely required here
• You must clearly mention your year of graduation in your resume

Government Mandates for Indian Applicants

Since this apprenticeship operates under India’s official apprenticeship framework, a few government-mandated requirements apply:

• An active mobile number linked with Aadhaar and an active personal email ID — mandatory for registration, e-KYC, and verification
• An Aadhaar-seeded bank account
• A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, and the second cannot be in the same trade
• If you’ve previously completed an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, at least 1 year must have elapsed since completion before applying again (this condition doesn’t apply if your previous training was terminated due to the employer’s fault)
